Nail art Sunday - Longing... For a new government

Hi cuties!

How are you guys today? I'm super duper nervous! Today is a big day in Sweden, the swedish election ends today. Tonight at 8pm we will get a preliminary result and I can't wait. Because of the election I decided to do a manicure the match the political parties that might become our new government. The colours that hopefully will be included are: red (Social Democrats), red (Left Party), green (Green Party) and pink (Feminist Initiative)!

I used the following colours: CbL - Little Red Corvette. Seahawks Lime & It's Shocking, Dance Legend - Rio2, Enchanted Polish - Life in Plastic, It's Fantastic, Pop Culture Cosmetics - Red Carpet and Nails inc. - Electric Lane Holographic Top Coat.

I used many different colours, as you can see. You don't need these exact colours. Pick whatever colours you have at home that matches the political party(ies) that you support.

Anyway, this is how I did. First I applied the CbL's on my nails, I did so by applying he polish on a sponge and  gently dabbing the sponge on the nail. I got a really nice gradient but unfortunately it kind of disappeared when I added the glitters. I also applied the glitter with a sponge and that is something that I recommend that everyone does. The you get loads of glitter but not so much actual nail polish (that's a good thing). When I had applied the glitters I added on coat of holographic tc from Nails inc. and tons of regular tc to smoothen everything out.
Okay, to be honest. I'm not sure if I LOVE the colour combination. But since today is a very special day, I decided to go for it anyway! So now I wait. Wait for a result that hopefully will mean that Sweden will become a more loving and caring place to live. A place where we take care of each other. A place where we make sure that everybody will have the same rights from birth to death.

I hope that my swedish readers have voted. If you haven't, then GO GO GO!
If you want to look at other nail art sunday blog posts, head over to Le Lack! Take care, and I'll "talk" to you tomorrow.

Love,
Christina

Pop Culture Cosmetics - Enchanted evening

Hi lovelies!

Guess what!? I have three work-free days ahead. I feel so excited! It's been a really hectic summer and I'm so glad to finally have som free-time. I'm going up early tomorrow even though I'm free because we're going to meet up with my BFs family. Therefore this will be a bit of a shorty post as well. I promise I'll make up for though.
The winner of todays 'what nail polish to wear' wheel is Enchanted evening from Pop Culture Cosmetics. It's a super squishy jelly packed with glitters and shimmer. Three coats was necessary for it to cover. The formula was problem-free considering all the glitters. As some of you might now, Pop culture cosmetics did a make over and goes by the name Neverland lacquers.

That's all for now. I hope you all are planing to have a great weekend, I sure know I am :D
Until next time, take care!

Snow white and nail art

Golden metal flowers sent for my honest review.
I have a super cute manicure to show you guys. I have showed you a couple of these metal nail art thingys before. Today I have some amazing cherry blossom shaped ones to show you.
I started with a white base, Snow white from Models own. After that I added Bubbly from Pop culture cosmetics on my thumb, index and ring finger. On my middle finger and pinkie I added flowers and one thin layer of bubbly on top of them. I also added on thick coat of top coat on all of my nails.

I really love this manicure, it feels classy yet modern and fun. That's all for now. Talk to you soon :)
Until next time, take care!

Neverland Lacquers - Vinyl nail art

Nail vinyls sent for my honest review.
I've got something exciting to show you guys today!

I got some nail vinyls sent to me from Neverland Lacquers, formerly Pop Culture Cosmetics to review. I'm loving their new name btw :D
The first vinyl I'm going to show you is the Single wave vinyl. As you might know by now I'm a big vinyl fan. I think they are a easy way to create advanced looking nail arts really fast.

I decided to go for a gradient as base "colour", I used four different colours from Smitten Polish. These are the colours I used: Sunny side up, Be Mine, Blue footed booby dance and Electric Lime. I used a make-up sponge and gently dabbed the colours on my nails. I applied top coat and waited until the gradient was completely dry, that's the most important part. After that I added a nail vinyl, painted the nail with Liquid leather from China Glaze and gently removed the vinyl with a pair of tweezers.
So what did I think of the nail vinyls?

I like the fact that these vinyls are much thinner than other vinyls I have tried. That makes them follow my curved nails much better. They did however have a tad too much adhesive on them. That was not a very big problem though. All I did was to gently dab my fingers on the sticky side of the vinyl and it became less sticky. Another big plus is that there are so many different designs to choose from on their web site. I love classic patterns such as chevrons, as you might know already, but I do enjoy some variation and Neverland Lacquers have almost 60 different designs(!).

I'll sneak in these reviews every now and then. I hope you enjoyed the first one :)

Until next time, take care!

Pop Culture Cosmetics - Prince charming and Emily de Molly - LE2

Howdy glitter inferno, how do you do?

Today I have a layering to show you guys. If you've been following me for a while you know that I love glitter. The more, the better. One can not have too much glitter!
The grey base is Prince charming from Pop culture cosmetics and the crazy intense glitter topper is LE2 from Emily de Molly. I will however rename LE2 because that name is kind of lame. From now on I will call it, The crazy intense glitter topper.
I have two coats of Prince charming and one coat of The crazy intense glitter topper. I really like these two polishes together. The calm grey base works really well with the purple glitters IMO. I also have one coat of Seche vite but I might add a second coat because it feels kind of gritty.

What do you guys think, do you like the combination? Let me know bellow :)
Until next time, take care!

Pop Culture Cosmetics - Castle engagement

Squishy squishy!

Shame on me, I've totally forgotten to use my gorgeous polishes from Pop Culture Cosmetics. PCC is one of my absolute favourite brands when it comes to glitter polish. Their glitter jellies are amazing, the glitters spread so well, they dry fast and they are really unique.

Castle engagement is no exception. It's a really cute medium blue jelly with loads of different glitters. Take a look at the close-up bellow and you will see all the different shapes and sizes. I always use glitter-a-peel from Nail pattern boldness as base coat when I use glitter polish. It works great for me and it makes the removal so easy. I have two coats of Castle engagement in the pictures. I also applied two coats of TC but I think I will apply a third coat later on today. The application was just as great as always when it comes to PCC!

That's all for now, enjoy the pictures :)
Until next time, take care!

Simple kawaii nail art

Are you familiar with the word "kawaii"? It's Japanese and means cute/loveable/adorable. I've been a big fan of Japanese street fashion for many years and especially the accessories and make-up. My favourite style is called Decora and it's basically a awesome "plastic-is-fantastic-pastel-rainbow-inferno"-style.

So when I got to choose a couple of things to review from BPS I couldn't resist to try these cute little donuts out :)
They where quite thick though, so I filed them so that they would apply better to my nails. I used a regular nail file and it worked really well. It took no more than five minutes to slim down two donuts. You get ten donuts in a little zip lock bag. There are quite a few different designs to choose from, I picked number 4.

I have used a few other things as well. A couple of nail vinyls, big surprise huh!? As I've mentioned before I buy mine from this storenvy site. I also used the following polishes. Lavendairy, Crema de Limon and Parfait Day all three from Lime Crime. Magical parade from Pop Culture Cosmetics and Coconut from Colors by Llarowe.
I'll do a description from index-pinkie on how I did these nails.

Index: I started with two coats of Crema di Limon and applied three stripe vinyls. After that I used a make-up sponge and did a gradient using Lavendairy and Parfait Day.
Middle: I started off with one coat of Lavendairy and used a half moon vinyl. On top of the vinyl I applied on coat of Parfait Day. I applied a really thick coat of TC and pressed on the donut. If you want this mani to last longer than a day or two I would recommend using nail glue.
Ring: I used a basic white cream polish as base and applied one coat of Magical Parade. After that I applied one coat of coconut and did some mini dots with the three polishes form Lime Crime.
Pinkie: For the pinkie I used Crema de Limon as base colour and applied french manicure vinyls over the entire nail. I then applied one coat of Parfait Day over the vinyls.

I also applied a generous layer of TC on all of the nails, except the donut one.
What do you guys think? I'm really pleased with this mani. It was really fun to make and wear :D The colours work really well for a easter mani as well.

Until next time, take care!

Pop Culture Cosmetics - Valentine bouquet

Hey lovelies,

I've got another valentine polish to show you :) This is Valentine bouquet from Pop Culture Cosmetics. It's a light pink almost white crelly. It's super sheer but you can get it opaque on its own. I don't mind it being sheer, as a matter of fact I'm glad it is. I love that you can see all the glitters from the different layers. The formula was amazing and with the help of a fast drying TC it dried really fast.

I love this polish, it is so cute. Heart, flower, hex and circle shaped glitter and tons of pink shimmer. It's pretty brilliant if you ask me :)

Until next time, take care!

Pop Culture Cosmetics - Sugarplum Fairy

Hi guys!

Time for a true cutie! This is Sugarplum faire from Pop Culture Cosmetics :) A pink/magenta metallic glitter polish. As you can see there are so many different types of glitters in this polish including circles, snowflakes, stars and squares.

The formula was rather sheer and I ended up with three pretty thick coats. I will definitely layer it over a pink next time I'll wear it. It dried slowly but I think that was because of the thick coats of polish. PCC is my favourite indie brand when it comes to glitters. The polishes are so bright and fun. I recommend all of you to try their polishes if you haven't done it already. You can find them here.

That's all for now :)

Until next time, take care!
