Nail art Sunday - Longing... For a new government

Hi cuties!

How are you guys today? I'm super duper nervous! Today is a big day in Sweden, the swedish election ends today. Tonight at 8pm we will get a preliminary result and I can't wait. Because of the election I decided to do a manicure the match the political parties that might become our new government. The colours that hopefully will be included are: red (Social Democrats), red (Left Party), green (Green Party) and pink (Feminist Initiative)!

I used the following colours: CbL - Little Red Corvette. Seahawks Lime & It's Shocking, Dance Legend - Rio2, Enchanted Polish - Life in Plastic, It's Fantastic, Pop Culture Cosmetics - Red Carpet and Nails inc. - Electric Lane Holographic Top Coat.

I used many different colours, as you can see. You don't need these exact colours. Pick whatever colours you have at home that matches the political party(ies) that you support.

Anyway, this is how I did. First I applied the CbL's on my nails, I did so by applying he polish on a sponge and  gently dabbing the sponge on the nail. I got a really nice gradient but unfortunately it kind of disappeared when I added the glitters. I also applied the glitter with a sponge and that is something that I recommend that everyone does. The you get loads of glitter but not so much actual nail polish (that's a good thing). When I had applied the glitters I added on coat of holographic tc from Nails inc. and tons of regular tc to smoothen everything out.
Okay, to be honest. I'm not sure if I LOVE the colour combination. But since today is a very special day, I decided to go for it anyway! So now I wait. Wait for a result that hopefully will mean that Sweden will become a more loving and caring place to live. A place where we take care of each other. A place where we make sure that everybody will have the same rights from birth to death.

I hope that my swedish readers have voted. If you haven't, then GO GO GO!
If you want to look at other nail art sunday blog posts, head over to Le Lack! Take care, and I'll "talk" to you tomorrow.

Enchanted Polish - Good Life

Hi lovelies!

I hope you're having a great weekend :)

Today I decided to wear Good Life from Enchanted Polish and dang what a bummer it was. The formula was like the old EP's. The polish covered with two thin coats and dried really fast. BUT Good Life didn't at all work with my skin tone. I think that Good Life would look amazing if your skin tone isn't totally transparent like mine. I was very disappointed because the foil like holo finish is absolutely stunning.

Perhaps I'll wait until next summer and try it when I have a bit of a tan. However I'm really glad that the formula was so much better than July 2014. I hope that the new EP's will have the same amazing formula as Good Life and not like July 2014.

That's all for now. Until next time, take care!

Enchanted Polish - Flashing Lights

Hi lovelies!

How have your day been? I've had a great day even though this day means the start of a very stressful week. Hopefully I'll survive :P I decide to try Flashing Lights from the latest Enchanted Polish collection to give myself some glitter energy.

Flashing Lights is one intense glitterbomb. It's a clear based glitter polish, the glitters are golden prismatic glitters and they sparkle like crazy! I decided to layer it over a golden polish because I wasn't sure how many coats I would need for it to cover on it's own. I applied two coats of Flashing Lights over the golden base. The sparkle gives the impression that it covered fully even though I'm not completely certain that it did. The glitters spread evenly which always is appreciated. I thought that the glitters would leave an uneven and gritty finish but it didn't. I only needed one coat of tc to achieve a smooth and shiny finish.

I know that it sucks that EP's are so hard to come by, I really like them so I will write blog post about the ones I have. I hope that's fine with you guys. What do you think of Flashing Lights? My boyfriend hates glitters so I guess you can imagine what he thought of it. Enough babbling, time for the pictures!
That's all for today, have great evening and I'll "talk" to you guys tomorrow.
Love,
Christina

Enchanted Polish - Dark Fantasy

Hi lovelies!

I hope you're having a great day. I've gotten my first school assignment and it's a big one, so I'm pretty stressed at the moment. But when I got home from school I saw that I had gotten the best kind of nail mail, EP-nail mail! I decided to try it on right away. I give you Dark Fantasy! I wasn't sure if I was going to like this colour but it's not at all like the picture posted on EP's Instagram which was such a relief.

Dark fantasy is almost a one coater, but I decided to go with two for a even application. The formula was great and required a minimal amount of clean-up. I applied one coat of tc for extra shine and a longer durability.

The polish has a wonderful green shimmer in it but I had some problem photographing it. You can see some of the shimmer in the first and second picture. The holographic properties are quite subtle and the base colour is a navy blurple. I adore this shade, it's absolutely perfect for autumn.
Take care and I'll "talk" to you tomorrow :)

Darling Diva Polish - Violets Are Blue & Enchanted Polish - 2 A.M. Summer Night

Hey (again) lovelies!

I did a super simple nail art that I thought I'd share with you. I used the base colour I showed you earlier today and decided to use nail vinyls to create a cute chevron pattern. Nail vinyls are so much fun to use, they are a really easy way to make your nails look super fancy. If you follow @teismom on IG you will get tons of inspiration on how to use them :)

The "top" polish I decided to match 2 A.M. Summer Night with is Violets Are Blue from Darling Diva Polish. I think it turned out great, I really like the combination. If you want to get more nail art inspiration head over to Le Lack

That's all for now, I hope you enjoyed this little bonus post.
Take care and I'll "talk" to you tomorrow :)

Enchanted Polish - 2 A.M. Summer Night

Hi lovelies!

I wasn't pleased with my manicure yesterday, so I decide to compensate today. I give you 2 A.M. Summer Night. I feel so lucky that I have this beauty in my collection. It's absolutely perfect.

I don't really know what to write, I mean LOOK AT THE PICTURES! It's absolutely stunning. The polish was a dream to apply, two thin coats with no undies covered perfectly. It dried rather fast with the help of a fast drying tc. I wasn't sure if I was going to love this shade when I bought it, but I do. The green shimmer is a fun twist and the bright magenta really does pop. I can barley focus on writing this post because the colour shift is really intense.

I might post a second post later today. That's my plan at least :) Take care and I'll "talk" to you later.
Love,
Christina

Models Own - Grape Juice & Strawberry Tart and Enchanted Polish - Seven Nation Army

 Hi cuties!

I'm the most miserable person in the entire universe! If you follow me on Instagram (@cilp) you might know that I had a fever yesterday. I've been feeling kind of weird today as well. So weird that I didn't manage to go to the postal office and get my Enchanted Polish parcel. Can you imagine how terrible I must be feeling if I can't manage to go and pick up my nail mail!?
I decided to use one of my untried EP's to celebrate that I've got nail mail that's waiting for me at the PO. I did a gradient with Strawberry Tart and Grape Juice from Models Own and topped it off with Seven Nation Army from Enchanted Polish.

I started with a white base, the polishes from Models Own are rather sheer so a white base is definitely recommended. Then I applied the two Models Own colours and slightly overlapped them on a make-up sponge. I dabbed the sponge over each nail and repeated the procedure three or four times. While the polish was still wet I made sure to clean up any mess I had made around my nails. Finally I applied one thin coat of Seven Nation Army and finally one coat of tc.

I love this manicure, I think it's super cute and I love the black and white glitters together with the pretty pastels. What do you guys think? Let me know bellow :)
That's all for now. Have a great evening and I'll "talk" to you tomorrow.
Love

Enchanted Polish - July 2014 & Pahlish - The Crucible

There is a first for everything right? Today I had a new experience, an EP with a really sucky formula. July 2014 was thick, gooey and tricky to apply. There was either too much or too little polish on the brush. Thankfully, it covered with two coats so the awful experience was short-lived.

I also applied some glitter to make the manicure extra fancy. The glitter is called The Crucible. It's a clear based polish with glitters in different metallic shades and sizes. The Crucible is a great gradient polish, I really recommend it. Finally I added a few golden studs to my nails. I love this manicure, even though it's a bit christmasy.

That's all for now, I'll "talk" to you tomorrow :)
Until next time, take care!

Enchanted Polish - April 2014

Look at this gorgeous polish. I think this colour is called periwinkle, but I'm not completely sure though. I don't know if there is a precise name for this colours in swedish? I think I would describe it as a "dusty lavender blue pastel"? Anyway, April 2014 is pretty creamy and almost covered with one coat. The holographic properties are pretty discrete, which I love. These pictures are taken in direct sunlight so this is pretty much as holographic as it gets.
The formula was great, I don't think that I've ever used a EP that haven't had a butter smooth formula. I have two thin coats in the pictures, I also added one coat of SV. The SV didn't affect the holographic properties. I bought this polish at Enchanted Polish's big cartel. Subscribe to their e-mail to get updates on upcoming restocks :)
I also added a few silver studs from Born pretty store, I think the combination looks super cute. Don't forget to use my code CYX31 when shopping at BPS. It will give you a 10% discount!

Until next time, take care!

Enchanted Polish - February 2014

It finally arrived, about two months late! February 2014 from Enchanted Polish. February is a reddish purple with varm red coppery shimmer. I enjoy EP holos because they aren't as crazy holo as many other brands holos are. Another bonus is that they are really pigmented and February was no exception. I have one coat in the pictures and that is a big plus IMO.
The formula was really nice, I've read that some thought it was too thick but mine wasn't. No need to add thinner. I applied TC and it didn't affect the rainbows. No sun in Lund today so the last two pictures are taken with flash :)
Until next time, take care!

Enchanted Polish - Yesterday

I really hate when I see gorgeous polish being sold for like five times the retail price. I think it's sad that not everyone can get their lemmings just because they can't afford to pay 70 USD for one bottle of nail polish. Another thing I hate about this whole pricing thing is that I find it hard to use my bottles of polish. Knowing that people would pay so much for them makes it hard for me to justify using them. How ridiculous is that!? So from now on, I'm not going to feel bad when I use my polish. I'm going to enjoy ALL my bottles regardless of brand and if I don't like it, then I'll sell or swap.

With that said, time for todays pretty, I'm going to show you Yesterday from Enchanted Polish. I got this from a restock at meimei's. I got quite a few of the colours I wanted which made me super happy. Yesterday looks multi chrome in the bottle but I couldn't see any green when applied to the nail. So I'd say it's a duo chrome scattered holo. Depending on the angle it pends between a aubergine purple to a light golden brown.

I applied two thin coats of Yesterday over one coat of China Glaze - Liquid leather. I also have one coat of Pretty & Polished - Swift sparkle TC that I love! It dried quite slow though. I don't know if thats Yesterday or Liquied leathers fault because this was my first time using LL.

Enough text, time for a ridiculous amount of pictures!

Until next time, take care!
