Colors by Llarowe - In the Navy

Hey guys!

I hope you're having a great day!

Today I decided to wear one of the first CbL's I bought, In the Navy. But when I looked at swatches I was a bit surprise because all the other swatches where so much darken than mine(?). I like this colour as well but I was hoping for something a bit darker. It could be because of fading pigments which seems like the most possible explanation.

The formula is great, and the polish is very pigmented. You can go for one thick coat or two thin coats for full coverage. I prefer thin coats so I ended up with two coats. In the Navy does dry rather shiny but I decided to add tc anyway to prevent tip wear.
I like this colour even though it's not as dark and blue as I was hoping. It's more like a semi-dark blurple. That's all for now :)

Have a great evening and I'll "talk" to you guys tomorrow.
Love,
Christina

Nail art Sunday - Longing... For a new government

Hi cuties!

How are you guys today? I'm super duper nervous! Today is a big day in Sweden, the swedish election ends today. Tonight at 8pm we will get a preliminary result and I can't wait. Because of the election I decided to do a manicure the match the political parties that might become our new government. The colours that hopefully will be included are: red (Social Democrats), red (Left Party), green (Green Party) and pink (Feminist Initiative)!

I used the following colours: CbL - Little Red Corvette. Seahawks Lime & It's Shocking, Dance Legend - Rio2, Enchanted Polish - Life in Plastic, It's Fantastic, Pop Culture Cosmetics - Red Carpet and Nails inc. - Electric Lane Holographic Top Coat.

I used many different colours, as you can see. You don't need these exact colours. Pick whatever colours you have at home that matches the political party(ies) that you support.

Anyway, this is how I did. First I applied the CbL's on my nails, I did so by applying he polish on a sponge and  gently dabbing the sponge on the nail. I got a really nice gradient but unfortunately it kind of disappeared when I added the glitters. I also applied the glitter with a sponge and that is something that I recommend that everyone does. The you get loads of glitter but not so much actual nail polish (that's a good thing). When I had applied the glitters I added on coat of holographic tc from Nails inc. and tons of regular tc to smoothen everything out.
Okay, to be honest. I'm not sure if I LOVE the colour combination. But since today is a very special day, I decided to go for it anyway! So now I wait. Wait for a result that hopefully will mean that Sweden will become a more loving and caring place to live. A place where we take care of each other. A place where we make sure that everybody will have the same rights from birth to death.

I hope that my swedish readers have voted. If you haven't, then GO GO GO!

Colors by Llarowe - Burnt Sugar

 Hi cuties!

How are you guys!? I hope that you have a great weekend ahead. I'll be spending my weekend studying. Well not the entire weekend, I will spend my Sunday evening in front of the telly watching updates on the Swedish election. To be honest I'm pretty nervous right now.

Anyway time for my #notd. Todays polish is an oldie but a goodie. This is the old formula of Burnt Sugar form Colors by Llarowe. As you might know already the older holos from CbL are more jelly-like. They usually require three or four coats for a completely opaque finish. I ended up with three coats of Burnt Sugar.

I have recently changed my mind and have come to realise that I like brown nail polish. I must say, it feel pretty classy with brown nails. Burnt sugar looks so fancy and now I'm even more excited that I bought Seasonal Lattes from Smitten Polish.

That's all for today, I hope you'll have a great evening. I'll "talk" to you tomorrow.
Love,

Colors by Llarowe - Will You Still Love Me Teal-Morrow

Hi cuties

I'm so not satisfied with this manicure. I decided to share it with you even though I pretty much hate it. I think I took about 60 pictures and there where only three that I thought looked okay(!). I wanted to do something DW-inspired since the new episode will be released today. But my BF and I went to IKEA earlier today. I needed to buy a second Helmer to my li'll nail polish collection and I've been reorganising it the entire evening. Therefore I ended up doing something completely different and all I feel is MEH.

The polish is really cute but it was not at all what is was feeling like wearing. It's a dark teal shimmer polish. It covered with three thin coats and dried super shiny. So it's not the polish that is the problem, "it's not it it's me" :P I think the actual problem is that I'm super tired and all I want to do is eat candy and watch DW until I fall asleep, lol.

I promise I'll doing something fun tomorrow for Nail Art Sunday :) Take care and I'll "talk" to you tomorrow.
Love,
Christina

Colors by Llarowe - Go, Deanna go!

FINALLY, FREEDOM!

I'm so excited, two weeks without any early mornings and stressful blog posts. I'm really looking forward to have time for some fun nail arts with stamping and one stroke flowers :)

I have been at work today so I'm a but tired. My plan is to use this colours as base for a nail art that will be up tomorrow, hopefully. The polish is a LE from Colors by Llarowe and is called Go, Deanna go! It's a jelly base with prismatic micro glitter, which is my favourite kind of polish.

The formula was great and it covered with three thin coats. It dried fast but semi-matte so I also applied tc. I needed two coats for it to become completely smooth. The minimal clean-up that was needed was problem-free, the polish was very easy to remove with my clean-up brush.

Overall I must say that I'm really impressed with this polish. The colour is absolutely stunning and the formula was great. I'm so glad that I got my hands on Go, Deanna go! at retail price since I've seen it being sold for ridiculous amounts.

That's all for now. I'll "talk" to you tomorrow. Take care and have a great evening :)
Lots of love

Dance Legend - Cosmic rainbow & Colors by Llarowe - Parts and pieces

 Hey lovelies!

Today I have a fun manicure to show you. I've used the super holographic Cosmic rainbow from dance Legend as base and layered it with Parts and pieces from Colors by Llarowe. Two coats of Cosmic rainbow covered perfectly. I also applied two coats of Parts and pieces since I really wanted the flakes to be visible. Some of the flakes in Parts and pieces are rather big so a gentle dab on them before applying tc is recommended.

What do you guys think of this combo? Do you like it? I think it's super cute and I will make sure to layer Parts and pieces over other holos in the future.
That's all for now, take care and I'll "talk" to you guys tomorrow.
Lots of love

Colors by Llarowe - Watch me fly, see me soar

Polish and studs where sent for my honest review.
Hi lovelies!

Time for my last review from the summer collection by Colors by Llarowe. I thought that I'd combine it with some cute studs that where sent to me from Born pretty store.

WMF,SMS was very easy to apply. The formula was problem-free and didn't require any clean-up. It dried fast with a semi-matte finish. I think it's a pretty grey but it's not unique in my collection. If you don't have any grey holos I would definitely recommend it.

Over to the studs :) I thought that these studs where absolutely stunning when I saw them at BPS. They are even prettier IRL. I love that they are colour shifters. They where really easy to cut in half, I used a nail clipper. With the help of a nail file I managed to get the cut edge completely smooth. The are, as you can see in the pictures, rather big so I would recommend using nail glue if you want to wear the manicure for a longer time. I only used nail polish and that wasn't enough for them to stay on for long. I do love them and I will make sure to use them, with glue, soon.

If you want to look at more nail art, head over to Le lack and all the nail art Sunday participants. Have a great evening :)
Until next time, take care!

Colors by Llarowe - My own private paradise

My own private paradise was sent for my honest review.
Hi cuticle cuties!

I was planing on posting pictures of another polish today but I wasn't completely satisfied with the pictures so I decided to go with this polish instead. The polish is called My own private paradise and is from Colours by Llarowe's summer collection. It's a very bright purple that is neither too red or blue.
The formula was pretty close to perfect. I applied two thin coats and it covered perfectly on the second coat. It did dry semi-matte so I finished the manicure off with one coat of HK Girl's TC. I'm sorry that this post will be short but I'm going up at 4 am tomorrow :(
Until next time, take care!

Colors by Llarowe - Anna's adventure (Pic heavy)

Anna's adventure was sent for my honest review.
Why have I waited so long to wear this polish? Anna's adventure is a wonderful peachy pink holo. It's part of the CbL summer collection and it screams summer.
This beauty was super easy to apply. The formula was really good and I only needed two thin coats, one thicker coat will also work if that's what you prefer. It dried semi matte and therefore I added one coat of HK girl top coat. The shine helped the holographic properties pop. I adore this colour and I hope you guys do to. I'm going to let the pictures speak for them selves. I promise I'll post a longer post tomorrow :)
Until next time, take care!

Colors by Llarowe - Go straight and Burn out

First of all, SORRY that I haven't posted anything in a while. I started with me having a really bad allergic reaction and when I was better we went to Tivoli in Copenhagen and stayed there for one night. But now I'm back and I promise that I will blog like normal :)

Today I have two beauties to show you guys. It's two wonderful holographic polishes from Colors by Llarowe. These are LE's and I'm not sure if they will be available to buy anymore but I love the colours and I wanted to show them anyway.
First out is Go straight, a grape holo with blue and magenta shimmer. Two thin coats shown alone in the pictures. The formula was excellent and the polish dried rather fast. It did however dry a tad matte so I would recommend a top coat for extra shine.

Next up is Burn out, a dark green almost black super holo. I absolutely adore this colour. This polish was almost a one-coater and the formula was amazing. This might just be my new favourite dark holo. Burn out did also dry a tad matte so the same thing goes for this one, top coat is pretty much a must.

That's all for now :)
Until next time, take care!

Colors by Llarowe and Neverland Lacquers nail art

Olivia, Blonde ambition and lightning vinyls sent for my honest reviews.
Time for a double review!

Today I'm showing you guys my second nail art attempt with nail stencils that where sent to me from Neverland Lacquers. I used Olivia from Colors by Llarow as base colour. When Olivia was completely dry I applied one lightning stencil on each nail and I applied one rather thick coat of Blonde ambition also from Colors by Llarowe. Immediately after I applied the polish I removed the stencil! This is super important, if you wait with the removal of the stencil the polish will dry a teeny-tiny bit and that will make your lines less perfect.

I repeated the procedure on each nail and applied one coat of Seche vite. I must say that I'm really impressed with Blonde ambition. I was a bit sceptical if it was going to be pigmented enough to cover with one coat but it covered perfectly. I love Oliva and BA, the look great together.

I'm really enjoying Neverland Lacquers nail stencils. I they work great for me and they are very easy to use. I have loads more to show you and I have some great ideas :D
Until next time, take care!
