Smitten Polish - Endless Sunset

Hi cuticle cuties!

This will be a short post, I'm so tired! I'm not super pleased with these pictures but I think it's because I'm tired and cranky. 

Anyway, this peachy neon-ish orange is Endless Sunset from Smitten Polish. Endless Sunset is a Edgy Polish exclusive. It's out of stock right now but I know that Katarina has a Smitten Polish order on the way. Endless Sunset is the first micro glitter jelly from Smitten that only required two coats to cover completely. All of the other ones I have tried have required three coats. I applied three coats of tc, mostly to make sure that the pink neon studs won't fall off during the day but also to avoid any grittiness. 

I'm a sucker for orange nail polish and Endless Sunset is so beautiful. I'm so glad that I have a bottle! That's all for now. Take care and I'll "talk" to you tomorrow.

Smitten Polish - Blue Footed Booby Dance & Radiant Orchid

Hi cuties!

I have a beautiful and simple manicure to show you today. I did a skittle(?), is it a skittle if you only use two colours? Anyway the colours I used are both from Smitten Polish, the blue is called Blue Footed Booby Dance and the magenta is Radiant Orchid. 

I love these two colours together, I think that this manicure is absolutely stunning. Both colours are so vibrant! I have three coats of Radiant Orchid, I did apply thin coats so two thicker coats might work just as well. Blue Footed Booby Dance did require four thin coats, so if you apply thicker coats I think three would be enough. I prefer thinner coats since it makes the holographic properties more visible. This is my personal opinion and you guys might disagree. Both shades dry rather shiny but I did add one coat of tc to avoid tip wear. 

Overall I must say that I'm very pleased with both shades and the manicure as a whole. What do you guys think? Let me know below. Take care and I'll "talk" to you tomorrow.

Smitten Polish - Glacial Springs & Seahorse Rodeo

Howdy!

I'm going to continue my nail art spam, I hope you don't mind. I decided to do a fun gradient with Glacial Springs and Seahorse Rodeo from Smitten Polish. 

This is how I did it.

I started with a white base, by layering the colours over white they really pop. I didn't use a make-up sponge for the gradient like I usually do. I applied the darker shade (Glacial Springs) closest to the cuticle. Then I simply applied Seahorse Rodeo and overlapped it over Glacial Springs. I repeated the procedure two times and that was enough to make a nice and even gradient. I also freehanded two black and white triangles and added two round studs. Smitten Polish - This is my tiara

Hey cuties!

I hope you're feeling better than I am. I'm feeling weird and super tired. All I do is sleep and watch The Vampire Diares. Hopefully I will feel better soon :)

Today I'm wearing a super dense micro glitter polish from Smitten Polish. It's like Smitten's colourful jellies I've shown you in previous posts, the only difference is that the prismatic micro glitters in this polish are in a clear base. 

I thought that This is my tiara would leave my nails with an extreme VNL when worn alone but it didn't. Three coats was enough for the polish to cover completely. Since I love colour I decided to add a couple of purple studs. I think they looked super cute with This is my tiara. The polish dried surprisingly fast but also really gritty. I needed three coats of tc for a smooth finish.

Smitten Polish - Elixir

Hi lovelies!

As you might know by now, I'm a big Smitten Polish fan girl. I love Noelie's holos but I LOVE her micro glitter jellies. They are absolutely incredible and Elixir is just as amazing as the other ones I've tried. Elixir is a store exclusive made for Hypnotic Polish. I ordered it the first of August and received it yesterday. That's pretty impressive :) 

I absolutely adore Elixir. It's a dark teal jelly with loads of prismatic micro glitters. I needed three coats for it to cover perfectly. I also needed two coats of HK girl tc for a smooth finish. I can't express in words how much I adore this shade. It's absolutely perfect, both the colour and the formula. The best part is that even though Smitten's jellies are packed with glitter they are really easy to remove, which is a big plus. Most glitter polishes are really time consuming to remove.

Smitten Polish - Jellyfish rave

Hi cuties!

Hope you're having a great day. I'm relaxing and watching Misfits, it's one of my favourite TV-series. I decided to go for a Smitten polish today as well. I might even have a Smitten Polish themed week :D 

Anyway please let me introduce Jellyfish rave, and just like Nuclear sunshine, Jellyfish rave is part of the latest summer collection. As most jellies from Smitten Jellyfish rave required three coats for a VNL-free finish. I ended up with three layers of top coat as well. I absolutely love this soft purple, it's a really calm, cool blue purple shade that I really enjoy wearing.

The only annoying thing is that the name Jellyfish rave reminds me of the song Salmon dance by The Chemical Brothers. Because of this polish I can't get that song out of my head, lol.

Smitten Polish - Nuclear sunshine

Hi lovelies!

I totally forgot to post yesterdays manicure. I'll try to double post tomorrow. Because today I decided to show you Nuclear sunshine from Smitten Polish summer collection. Nuclear sunshine is a gorgeous yellow holo. I'm not sure if it's a true neon, but it leans towards green which gives it a neon feel. 

I have three coats in the pictures, there is a little bit of VNL but it wasn't very visible IRL. I enjoy Smitten's holos and Nuclear sunshine is just as great as they usually are. The drying time was excellent and the formula likewise. I'm going to let the pictures do the talking.

Pahlish - Sleep to dream

Hi cuticle cuties!

I'm going to bed really soon, I have to go up at 4 am :( But before I fall asleep I want to share this vampy beauty with you. This is Sleep to dream from Pahlish. It's a wonderful dark aubergine creme with tons of different micro flakes. 

The formula was a bit weird, not in a bad way just different. It was very thick but not at all stringy, if you know what I mean. I ended up with three coats, it self levelled well even though it was rather thick. It's not very summery but it's one of my oldest untried so I had to give it some love. I aslo added two coats of top coat because it dried surprisingly matte.

Smitten Polish - Girl sprouts

Hi lovelies!

Is there a better feeling than having your nails done after cleaning the entire apartment? I don't think so :) After doing the dishes and cleaning our home I decided to go for a lovely green holo, Girl sprouts from Smitten Polish. 

Girl sprouts is a grass green jelly based holo. It requires three coats for a completely VNL-free finish. It dries really fast so the amount of coats isn't a big deal. The formula is a tad thin so I needed to do some (more) clean-up today. However, it was easy to remove polish from the cuticle area so the clean-up wasn't too time consuming. 

I also added one coat of HK girl TC. The polish dried shiny but by adding TC the manicure lasts longer. I absolutely adore this colour, it's pretty much a holo version of The Incredible Hulk. Absolutely stunning and a must have if you're into greens.

Smitten Polish - Her name was Rose

Hi lovelies :)

Time for a Doctor Who polish. Some of you might know that I'm a big DW fan. If I find a polish that is inspired by the series I buy it immediately. If I find a polish that is inspired by the series and it's a perfect squishy raspberry jelly then you can bet your cute little behinds that I will buy it.  

Her name was Rose is named after one of the doctors companions. Rose Tyler is my all time favourite companion and this shade is just as amazing as she is. I needed two thin coats for a completely VNL-free finish. It did dry pretty gritty so I ended up with three coats of HK Girl top coat. The formula was problem-free and the polish was very easy to apply.

Smitten Polish - Safety dance

Hi cuties!

What's up? Enjoying the heat or just dying like me? 

I got a wonderful parcel from Edgy Polish yesterday, I accidentally bought the entire summer collection from Smitten Polish, oops. I could barley make up my mind on which colour to try first. Finally I decided to go for Safety dance. I mean, what can go wrong with a peachy neon. It's more neon IRL than in my pictures but unfortunately I didn't manage to capture it last night. 

Safety dance was completely opaque after two thin coats. It dried semi matte so I added top coat for some extra shine. It was almost completely dry before I added top coat which is a big plus :) That's all for now. Let me know what you think about the polish in the comments bellow :D

Neverland Lacquers - Vinyl nail art

Nail vinyls sent for my honest review. 

I've got something exciting to show you guys today! 

I got some nail vinyls sent to me from Neverland Lacquers, formerly Pop Culture Cosmetics to review. I'm loving their new name btw :D 

The first vinyl I'm going to show you is the Single wave vinyl. As you might know by now I'm a big vinyl fan. I think they are a easy way to create advanced looking nail arts really fast. 

I decided to go for a gradient as base "colour", I used four different colours from Smitten Polish. These are the colours I used: Sunny side up, Be Mine, Blue footed booby dance and Electric Lime. I used a make-up sponge and gently dabbed the colours on my nails. I applied top coat and waited until the gradient was completely dry, that's the most important part. After that I added a nail vinyl, painted the nail with Liquid leather from China Glaze and gently removed the vinyl with a pair of tweezers. 

So what did I think of the nail vinyls? 

I like the fact that these vinyls are much thinner than other vinyls I have tried. That makes them follow my curved nails much better. They did however have a tad too much adhesive on them. That was not a very big problem though. All I did was to gently dab my fingers on the sticky side of the vinyl and it became less sticky. Another big plus is that there are so many different designs to choose from on their web site. I love classic patterns such as chevrons, as you might know already, but I do enjoy some variation and Neverland Lacquers have almost 60 different designs(!).  

I'll sneak in these reviews every now and then. I hope you enjoyed the first one :)
