Love Thy Polish - Bringin' sexy back

Hey lovelies!

TGIF and I'm starting this holographic Friday with swatches of Bringin' sexy back from Love Thy Polish. Bringin' sexy back (BSB) is even more holographic than Halo that I showed you guys yesterday. I didn't think that was possible, but apparently it is. BSB is not pink nor purple it's somewhere in-between. It is however a bright colour that screams of spring.

BSB has a great formula and all I needed was two coats for it to get opaque. The application was smooth and the clean up was minimal. I didn't apply TC but it was pretty shiny on it's own. I love this colour it looks great in lower lighting, but it is truly stunning in direct sunlight. I mean look at those rainbows!

Enough babbling, I know you guys only come here for the pictures :P
Love Thy Polish can be bought at Love Thy PolishNorway nailsMei Mei and Funkee Nailz. Not all of these shops ship worldwide, unfortunately, but a few do :)

Bringin' sexy back and a bunch of other holos will be released at Love Thy Polish on Saturday (15/2) - 8am SA time.

Until next time, take care!

Love Thy Polish - Halo

Hey lovelies!

Did somebody say Holy Holo! It's time for a gorgeous linear greenish yellow holo from Love Thy Polish.

Halo is a beautiful linear holo in a rather different colour. The formula of Halo is great, the application was flawless and the thickness perfect. Halo is more of a jelly holo than a creme. Therefore I needed three coats to achieve full opacity. I like jelly holos the best because the holographic pigment doesn't drown in the base colour. A problem I often experience with creme based holos. I'm overall really pleased with this polish and I think I might need a back up, lol.

If you're a holo lover you should definitely get yourself a bottle of Halo. The rainbows are so intense that it's almost ridiculous. My camera could barley handle it. Yellow usually makes my hands look like lobster hands but since Halo leans towards green colour I didn't have that problem. I didn't apply TC but Halo dried pretty fast without SV and it was still rather shiny.

I hope you enjoy the pictures :)

Love Thy Polish - Berry berry purple

Let's continue this swatch party shall we :)

It's time for Berry berry purple (BBP), another polish from the Speckled n' Frecked collection. BBP is a dark purple jelly but it looks like a dusty navy blue in the bottle. BBP was much sheerer than Vermillion dollar baby. Perhaps I was applying too thin coats but I ended up with five coats. I doesn't look like I've got five layers of polish in the pictures so I think I should have gone for thicker coats. The formula was great though and the glitters spread evenly. The glitters are matte black micro and nano glitters.

I fancy this colour, it's so cute. But I do think five coats is a bit much so I'm going to layer it over a purple creme next time I wear it. Because there will definitely be a next time. I like the small black glitters, they make this polish unique in my collection. Which is a bit of a challenge :D

Sorry if my skin tone is a bit weird in the pictures but I wanted the purple to be as accurate as possible.

Love Thy Polish - Vermillion dollar baby

Hey cuticle cuties!

I will be swatch bombing the blog today, I hope you don't mind :) I went do the dentist this morning and when I came home I hade received a packaged from Emma at Love Thy Polish. So let's start right away shall we.

Vermillion dollar baby (VDB) is my first encounter with Love Thy Polish and I must say that I'm impressed with the formula. The application was smooth and I was pleased with the opacity after three thin coats. I'm not wearing top coat in the pictures but this polish is pretty glossy on it's own like most jellies are.

This gorgeous orange jelly is part of a new collection called Speckled n' Frecked. VDB is a neon orange jelly with matte black micro and nano glitters. When I looked at the bottle at first I thought it looked kind of boring, but boy was I wrong. You can sneak peak at the first picture and you will see what I mean. I'm not a big fan of orange, except on my nails. I think it looks awesome with orange nails and this polish is no exception! Since VDB is a jelly I experienced some VNL but that doesn't bother me. If you can't stand VNL I would recommend to layer it over a white polish. By doing so you will both avoid the VNL and make the orange pop even more. I think I might try that myself as a matter of fact.

I'll be back soon with another polish from this collection. After that, prepare for holo mayhem!
