Deborah Lippmann - Mermaid's kiss

Hey guys!

The battery has finally arrived and I'm super excited!

Today I have a gorgeous polish for you all. It's Mermaid's kiss from DL. The base is a soft varm pink color packed with tons of golden shimmer. If that wasn't enough they also added pink and magenta glitter. It sounds crazy but it has i calm feel to it that I really enjoy. The application was super, but I did need three coats and it took a while for it to dry completely. Even with SV, so you need a good half an hour to make sure it's completely dry :)

Just realised that it's Pink thursday today :) If you want to see more lovely pink manicures, check out Emma's blog :)

Until next time, take care!

China Glaze - All wrapped up and Put a bow on it

Hi!

No camera battery in the mail today :( So unfortunately todays polishes won't be very color accurate. I can't understand why purples are so hard to capture.

Anyhow, todays polishes are from China Glaze holiday collection and they are really great! Both of them are clear based polishes packed with micro glitter. The color on my middle and pinkie finger is All wrapped up. This color is a dark purple and not at all as blue as it seems in the pictures. On my index and ring finger I'm wearing Put a bow on it. PABOI is a super cute color that is a pinkish purple color that I really like. I'm wearing to coats of each and the application was great. I have one coat of SV but I might need another one.

Until next time, take care!

Colors by Llarowe - Come dance the hora

Hey guys!

Christmas is just around the corner and I've got a bunch of holiday polishes that I need to show you. First out is this baby from CbL. It's a fine silver linear holo glitter with small and medium sized purple circle glitters. I wasn't expecting to much from this polish when I ordered it, I actually just wanted to compare it to Essies "On a silver platter".  But I must say, I really like it! The application was great. I have to coats on the picture and it was completely dry after about ten minutes, without top coat!

I'm so sorry about the poor quality of the pictures, I'm going to order a new battery to my camera tonight and that will hopefully make a big difference :)

Until next time, take care!

#2

Hi guys!

I've got a really simple nail art to show you today. It's a nail art inspired by The Incredible Hulk. My intention was actually just to try out my green holo from Smitten Polish. But after three layers there was still a bit VNL. If you look closely on the thumb nail you can se it. So i decided to take out one of my nail art brushes and do som stripes. Using striping brushes is super easy. The final result looks so much more advanced than it actually is.

The polishes that I've used are both from Smitten Polish, the green one is Electric Lime and the purple one is What Sorcery Is This?

I ordered both of them from Smittens etsy shop. After about a month i still hadn't received the parcel, so I sent a email to Noelie and she sent me a new package. She was so nice and understanding, I really recommend  her polishes. They are great!

As a base coat I used Trind nail repair and I also have one layer of SV to finish the manicure of.

Until next time, take care!

FIRST!

So, after about a year of escalating polish love I've decided that it's time...

I give you another polish blog. Since there are so few, hehe. I hope you will enjoy it. I hope _I_ will enjoy it as well. A blog for me to use as a gallery for all the lovely polishes that I truly love. Please let me know if there is anything in particular that you want to read about and I will do my best to make it happen!

The first post is not about a specific polish but more about my nails. What they looked like when i started using nail polish on a daily basis and what they look like now. So approximately one year has past since i took the first photos. Hopefully you will be able to see a small difference.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First out is a picture from January this year. Deborah Lippmann - Candy Shop, a pink jellybased polish with tons of glitter i different colours and sizes. I love this polish, but as you can see i also loved biting on my nails when this photo was taken.

As you guys can see the biting continued during February. But I remember feeling really bad when i was biting. So i continued painting my nails and when I bit, I just repainted them. Trying to make them look as pretty as possible. By doing so it became harder and harder to chew 'em up.

During March something happened, I'm not sure how but the nails where actually getting longer! No chewed up cuticles and I think that my nails are looking kinda' nice on this picture. Except for the awkward claw pose and reddish skin tone, lol.

And once again something has happened. These pictures are from April andI feel so proud when i look at them. I mean, look at the photo from January and compare it to the these ones. It's a really big difference. There where quite a few relapses during this time. Cuticles where bitten and my nails did get attacked by my teeth a couple of times but still!

I'm not going to show you pictures from every month. That would take for ever, but I am going to show you two more pictures. Pictures showing what my nails look like now.

This is the wonderful "The man in the suit" from CbL's Christmas/Hanukkah collection. It's a gorgeous raspberry red  colour that i absolutely love. I have been having a hard time with the holographic polishes but something has changed. I _LOVE_ the effect now. Anyhow great application, this is two thin coats. I used Trind nail repair as base coat and finished it of with one coat of Ciaté - speed coat. That's all for now. I hope you will enjoy reading my blog!
