Different Dimension - The lovers, the dreamers and me

I'm so sorry for not posting anything yesterday. I was so tired and started netflixing and all of a sudden it was super late and I was basically sleepwalking from the living room to the bedroom. I did this mani before but I totally forgot to post it.
What we've got today is cute stamping, with some Seche vite shrinkage :'( . The plate I have used is QA83 from Born pretty store. I fell in love with the plate the first time I saw it and I wanted to buy it and try to do some leadlight stamping. I promise I will do it sooooon :D

The blue base is three thin coats of The lovers, the dreamers and me from Different Dimension. This polish was an exclusive A box indied polish. I can't understand that I haven't used it until now. It's a wonderful calm denim blue holo. The formula was great and the polish dried really fast.
I used two of the motives form the plate for the stamping and I really like how it turned out. I used a new stamper that I also bough from BPS. The stamper in the link is super squishy and my opinion is that the squishier the stamper is the better it works for me and my nails.

I finished the nail art off with two coats of Seche vite and it didn't smudge the stamping but it did shrink a bit over night. So please ignore the tip wear :P

Until next time, take care!

Colors by Llarowe - Poem for polish Thursday - Nail art

Products sent for my honest review.
Time for a, in my opinon, super cute nail art. I've decided to call it "Candy is dandy but Liquor is quicker, so let's have a Strawberry wine Frenzy!"

I have used four polishes from CbL's summer collection. I know that it can be tricky to know what to do with jellies and cremes so I thought i'd show you ow to wear these polishes in a different way. I will swatch them later on as well. But I think that will be later in the summer.

I got this idea from Lemmingspolish on Instagram, if you don't follow that account already you totally should! Even though this mani didn't turn out as I wanted, it still looks pretty.
I started off with a white base and applied thin coats of the different colours with a nail art brush. I wanted it to look like a pink and purple tie dye but I'm not sure if it does.

The four colours I used are the following: Candy is dandy, Strawberry wine, Frenzy and Liquor is quicker. I also have two coats of Sweche vite to make the
And since it's Thursday, here is todays poem.

The wine of Love is music,
And the feast of Love is song:
And when Love sits down to the banquet,
   Love sits long:

Sits long and ariseth drunken,
   But not with the feast and the wine;
He reeleth with his own heart,
   That great rich Vine.

Colors by Llarowe - Alternate universe

Sent for my honest review.
WOWZA!

Two magically thin layers of Alternate universe and BOOM! Nails turn into magical unicorn tears. This polish is really something. It applied perfectly and the formula was a bit thinner than the CbL's usually are, something I really liked.
I also have one coat of my brand new franken top coat. It contains 50% Hk girl and 45% Swift sparkle top coat and 5% air bubbles LOL. I was going to take pictures with matte top coat as well, but I'm sooooooo tired, I'll have the pictures up another day :)
Until next time, take care!

Colors by Llarowe - Aliens and outlaws

Aliens and outlaws sent for my honest review.
Grey polish two days in a row!? What's wrong with me you might ask. Well, today is the first 'United in grey'-day. This theme is held by Helena over at Lacky corner. I hope that many of you want to participate!

The grey ribbon stands for, among a few other things, brain cancer awareness. I have no personal experience with brain cancer specifically, but I have with the big C. No matter what type of cancer, it's a terrible disease that will turn your whole world upside-down. I think it's super important to talk about cancer. There are still people how act as if it's contagious which is terrible. Cancer dosen't have to mean death. The research has taken us far, even though we still have a long way to go.
The polishes I have decided to wear today are Emily de Molly - LE3 and Colors by Llarowe - Aliens and outlaws.

LE3 was a limited edition shade that was released a while back. It's a light grey, close to white holo. It covered perfectly with three thin coats. This was the first time I used it and I'm definitely going to wear it again by itself. I decided apply Aliens and outlaws kind of gradiently (it's a word) except on my ring finger where I have three thins coats over LE3.
I love both polishes and I'm really pleased with this mani :D The application was great with both colours. Make sure not to get A&O around your cuticle area because it it kind of tricky to clean up. Which almost all glitters are. I also added one coat of Seche vite and it was enough for a completely smooth finish.
Until next time, take care!

Colors by Llarowe - Final fantasy

Sent for my honest review.
There are some days when a bubble wrap envelope filled with nail polish will brighten your day. Todays was one of those days. I got some amazing polishes from Colors by Llarowe's summer collection that will be restocked today and tomorrow.
First out is Final fantasy. FF is described as a charcoal taupe linear holo with strong pink shimmer. I absolutely agree with that description. FF required two thin coats, it dried a tad to matte for my taste so I added one coat of Seche vite. I really enjoy wearing greys and FF is a wonderful grey polish.
I love holos with shimmer and can't get enough of them! Since Final fantasy has such a gorgeous pink shimmer I'm not sure if you want to see a comparison with Concrete jungle? Let me know bellow if you do <3

Until next time, take care!

Nail art Sunday - Election day!

Before we start with the nail polish talk we need to discuss something else. Something that is super important to me. Please do have in mind that english is my second language. I will do my best, but be nice :)

In Sweden today is the final day to vote for the European Union election. There are of course different political parties both left, and right winged that run in the election. There are also single-issue political parties, green parties and so on. I try to have an open mind and think that every party have their plan to make Sweden, and EU the best they can.

What is scary is that all over Europe far right political parties are gaining ground. We have one in Sweden as well. The Swedish democrats. Europe has a really dark past and a lot of us europeans are worried that we might go down that road again. There are countries that are discussing if homosexuals should be allowed to work with children because of their sexual orientation, HOW INSANE IS THAT!?  In the southern part of Sweden, where I live, police made a special register of romani people as young as two years old. In Spain 400 incidents of violence against women are reported EVERY DAY! In Sweden, one of the most equal countries in the world, on average 17 women are killed by their husband, boyfriend, ex-husband or ex-boyfriend. This is where Europe is heading :(
So, what can one do change this pattern? VOTE! When not voting other people will use our silence. There are people in the world that die fighting for their right to vote. It is as much a right as a obligation.
My vote goes to a political party that want's to give the romani people the respect and rights they deserve. They are working for the LGBTQ-comunity's and women's rights among other things. They are called Feminist Initiative and I support them fully.

Just to clear a few things out.
Being a feminist does not mean that I hate men. It doesn't mean that you have to have hairy legs and armpist and never wear make-up!
A feminist is a person that wants every women, man and anyone who identify themselves in a different way to be able to be themselves. A feminist is person who is tired of the gender rolls we have in society. Teaching boys to like this and girls to like that. Girls aren't born loving pink, WE teach them. In the exact same way we teach boys to like techy gadgets and cars.

I want to see a change, I'm tired of the objectification of women in media, the fact that men still get paid more for the exact same work. I'm tired that the violence against women is a women's issue in politics, especially since more women die in close relations than people die in wars.

I'm sorry about the wall of text but this is really important to me and I hope that all of my European readers will vote for a more loving and respectful Europe!
This Nail art Sunday has the EU-election as theme. I got really excited, I have done a simple nail art with neon pink studs and This love is smokin' hot from Too Fancy Lacquer. I added matte TC on my white nails and Seche vite on the others. I think it's super cute :)
Until next time, take care AND VOTE!

Darling Diva Polish - Bad bad lulu pink

Product sent for my honest review.
Time for the forth polish from Darling Diva's "I hate pink!"-collection. Bad bad lulu pink is a raspberry pink holo with blue shimmer. It is absolutely stunning!

I ended up with three super thin coats. The formula was perfect, or as we say in Sweden, "lagom" thick. It dried fast and a tad matte so I added one coat of Seche vite and that really helped the blue shimmer to pop.
Bad bad lulu pink is available here and costs $11. I've tried four of the five colours from the collection and I'm really impressed with all of them. Have you tried any of the "I hate pink!"-polishes? If so, what did you think of it/them? Let me know bellow!
Until next time, take care!

Smitten Polish - Not your mama's easter grass

BOOM!

Another lovely jelly polish with micro glitters from Smitten. I've shown you Imperio and Amas veritas before and "Not your mama's easter grass" is just as amazing! Three thin coats for full opacity. The formula was great, and the drying time was surprisingly short. I have one coat of Seche vite in the pictures but I think I'll might add a second coat because it's feeling a bit gritty now.
I really love this polish and I'm going to order Glacial springs from Smitten polish's big cartel since it seems to have a similar finish. A few minutes left of todays holo Friday and I hope that Skimmerskuggan approves even though I'm only showing you guys prismatic glitters today :)
Do you guys like this colour? Let me know bellow :D
Until next time, take care!

Poem for polish Thursday: Darling Diva Polish - Gag on this!

Sent for my honest review.
Hi cuticle cuties!

I've been skyping with my sis this entire evening and we came up with the most awesome idea ever. My sister studies literature and we decided to have a theme on my blog called poem for polish. I will send her a picture of my Thursday manicure and she will pic a poems that matches the mani. I think that the reason that I really like this idea is that I've been up since 04:30 am and I'm super tired. Anyway, today is the first ever POEM FOR POLISH THURSDAY and I hope you will like it.
The lucky polish that is the first ever Poem for Polish-participant is Gag on this! from Darling Diva Polish's "I hate pink!"-collection. Gag on this! is a pale pink jelly with blueish flakes and a scattered holo finish. It applied easily, and it covered perfectly with three thin coats. The flakes made the finish a bit uneven so I ended up with two coats of Seche vite.

This wonderful polish is available at Darling Diva's Big cartel and costs $11 for 15ml.
What is pink? a rose is pink
By a fountain's brink.
What is red? a poppy's red
In its barley bed.
What is blue? the sky is blue
Where the clouds float thro'.
What is white? a swan is white
Sailing in the light.
What is yellow? pears are yellow,
Rich and ripe and mellow.
What is green? the grass is green,
With small flowers between.
What is violet? clouds are violet
In the summer twilight.
What is orange? Why, an orange,
Just an orange!

Dance Legend - Alohomora

O
M
G
!

This might be my absolute favourite layering of all time. You're looking at Alohomora from Dance Legend layered over London from Mavala. The combination almost looks like a burning Phoenix.
Alohomora applied just as smoothly as Avada kedavra. I decided to apply two thin coats because I love flakie-effect. Alohomora shifts from green to yellow to orange, unfortunately I didn't manage to capture the green :/

I have two thins coats of TC since it does dry a bit gritty. Overall I'm really pleased with this polish and I definitely need more flakies in my collection.

What do you think about flakies? Hate, like or love them? Let me know bellow :D
Until next time, take care!

Chirality Nail Polish - Absolute zero

Sent for review.
I've been waiting for some sun but whenever the sun has been out and about I've been indoors :( Therefore I decided to take some flash photos and I think that they do the polish justice.

The polish I'm wearing in the pictures is Absolute zero from Chirality. It's a olive green scattered holo. I really like the colour and I think it works well with my skin tone, greens usually give me lobster hands. I ended up with three thin layers that where really easy to apply. When I applied Seche vite it did dull the holoness a bit so I added a fourth layer to keep it as holo as possible :)
Absolute zero is available at Edgy Polish. This is the second Chiarlity polish I've tried and I'm really impressed with their durability. I've been at work all day and the tip wear is close to non existent. I really recommend the brand :)
Until next time, take care!
